Catalyst Psychology is a specialty private practice providing evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy tailored to your unique goals. Our rates reflect the advanced training and personalized care we offer for anxiety, ADHD, insomnia, and OCD.

Therapy Session Fees
Our individual therapy sessions use proven cognitive-behavioral approaches. Each session is tailored to help adults and adolescents overcome personal challenges and achieve their unique goals. Most sessions last 50–55 minutes and take place weekly, either in person or via telehealth—whichever works best for you.

Insurance Options & Reimbursement
We are proud to be in-network with Aetna through Alma and Headway, trusted insurance partners that streamline the claim process.
Our providers most often bill the CPT code 90837, which is designated for psychotherapy sessions lasting 53 minutes or longer. This code reflects the extended time and clinical work involved in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), such as teaching skills, practicing strategies, and creating personalized plans for use outside of therapy. At Catalyst, most sessions last close to 60 minutes, which allows us to go beyond conversation alone and dedicate the necessary time to ensure therapy is effective. While some insurance plans review 90837 more closely, it is the clinically appropriate code when sessions require the added time and intensity for meaningful treatment.
For all other insurance plans, we are considered an out-of-network provider. Many of our clients successfully use their out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement for care. We provide a detailed superbill each month to support this process.
Many clients choose out-of-network care for greater flexibility, privacy, and access to expert treatment that aligns with their needs.
Verifying Your Mental Health Coverage
Before scheduling, we recommend contacting your insurance provider or using Thrizer to confirm your mental health coverage.
You can call the number on the back of your insurance card or log into your provider’s online portal. Have your member or subscriber number and date of birth ready.
Ask your insurance carrier:
- “Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?”
- “Does my plan cover teletherapy sessions with out-of-network providers?”
- “What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?”
- “What percentage of out-of-network fees will be reimbursed?”
Billing & Payment Details
We accept credit or debit card payments for all services and co-pays through our secure client portal.
- A credit or debit card is kept on file for seamless payments.
- Payment is processed after each session via the portal.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens! If you cannot attend your in-person session, we offer the option to convert it to teletherapy at no extra cost.
- 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
- We allow two emergency cancellations per year without charge.
Important: If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, and have already utilized two emergency cancellations within the calendar year, you will be charged the full session fee.
