Therapy Fees & Insurance Information

Specialized care, clear fees, and support with your insurance options

Catalyst Psychology provides structured, evidence-based CBT for adults seeking focused care for anxiety, OCD, ADHD, insomnia, and related challenges.

This page is designed to help you understand your options clearly, including session fees, out-of-network reimbursement, and what to expect before beginning care.

What to know before you schedule

Before you schedule, here are the key details about session fees, out-of-network reimbursement, payment timing, and cancellation policies.

Session fee

Individual therapy fees are based on a standard 50–55 minute session, and vary by clinician.

Out-of-network reimbursement

If you have out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement. Catalyst can provide superbills when appropriate.

Superbill and Mentaya support

We provide a monthly superbill, and can support out-of-network benefit checks through Mentaya.

Payment timing

A card stays on file in our secure client portal, and payment is processed after each session.

Cancellation policy

Please give 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Two emergency cancellations per year are allowed without charge. After that, late cancellations are charged the full session fee.

Therapy Session Fees

Our individual therapy sessions use proven cognitive-behavioral approaches. Each session is tailored to help adults and adolescents overcome personal challenges and achieve their unique goals. Most sessions last 50–55 minutes and take place weekly, either in person or via telehealth—whichever works best for you.

  • Fee per session: Rates start at $265 and vary by clinician

Insurance Options and Out-of-Network Benefits

Catalyst Psychology is a specialty practice. That means many clients choose us for a specific reason: they want structured, evidence-based care for concerns like anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and insomnia, and they want to work with a clinician whose approach is a strong fit for their goals.

Catalyst Psychology is a private-pay, out-of-network provider.

Clients pay Catalyst directly at the time of service. If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement from your insurer.

To support this process, Catalyst provides a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. We can also support an out-of-network benefits review through Mentaya, which can help estimate potential reimbursement based on your plan and submit claims on your behalf.

Many clients prefer this model because it gives them access to a specialist practice without limiting care to a narrow insurer network. In plain terms: you are choosing a practice based on expertise, fit, and treatment approach first, then using any out-of-network reimbursement available to reduce your total cost.

Please note that reimbursement is determined by your insurance company and is not guaranteed.

How out-of-network reimbursement works

  1. Pay for your session.
  2. Receive a monthly superbill.
  3. Submit it to your insurer, or use Mentaya support.
  4. Receive any eligible reimbursement directly from your plan.

Verifying Your Mental Health Coverage

Before your first appointment, you can contact your insurance plan directly or use Mentaya to review your out-of-network benefits.

You can call the number on the back of your insurance card or log into your provider’s online portal. Have your member or subscriber number and date of birth ready.

Questions to ask your insurance carrier:

  • “Do I have out-of-network mental health coverage?”
  • “Does my plan cover teletherapy sessions with out-of-network providers?”
  • “What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?”
  • “What percentage of out-of-network fees will be reimbursed?”

Billing & Payment Details

We accept credit or debit card payments for all services and co-pays through our secure client portal.

  • A credit or debit card is kept on file for seamless payments.
  • Payment is processed after each session via the portal.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens! If you cannot attend your in-person session, we offer the option to convert it to teletherapy at no extra cost.

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
  • We allow two emergency cancellations per year without charge.

Important: If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, and have already utilized two emergency cancellations within the calendar year, you will be charged the full session fee.
