About Catalyst
Part-Time Licensed CBT Therapist (LICSW or LMHC)
Who this is for
You’re a licensed therapist (LICSW or LMHC) who practices from a CBT framework and is seeking a part-time opportunity that works well alongside an existing role in a hospital system, academic medical center, or related setting. You value structured, evidence-based work, strong clinical standards, and consultation that improves outcomes. You’re energized by the chance to keep developing specialty skills in high-impact, in-demand areas of treatment.
Catalyst Psychology is a clinician-led, evidence-based practice serving goal-oriented adolescents (16+) and adults with a primary focus on anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and insomnia/sleep concerns.
What you’ll do
- Provide individual outpatient therapy grounded in CBT and related evidence-based approaches.
- Maintain an average caseload of 6-10 client sessions/week.
- Deliver active, goal-oriented sessions (skills practice, behavioral experiments, exposure-based work when appropriate, measurement-informed progress).
- Complete documentation accurately and on time.
- Participate in CBT-focused consultation/training as part of ongoing clinical development.
Schedule flexibility
We built this role for therapists who need real flexibility while still meeting client demand:
- Part-time structure with a clear target: 6-10 sessions/week on average
- Minimum availability requirement: at least one evening per week scheduled for clients (a consistent weekly evening block)
- Hybrid, telehealth, or in-person options (Newton, MA)
Scheduling is flexible and collaborative: you set your availability, we align it with client demand, and the Clinical Director partners with you to build a consistent weekly schedule.
CBT-first, with a path to specialization
We’re explicitly looking for therapists who:
- Lead with CBT case formulation and intervention
- Want to deepen technical skill
- Are excited to specialize in two or more of our core tracks:
- Anxiety disorders (CBT, exposure-based work)
- OCD (ERP-informed treatment within a CBT framework)
- ADHD (skills-based CBT, executive functioning supports)
- Insomnia / sleep (CBT-I and behavioral sleep intervention)
You don’t need to arrive specialized in everything. You do need to be CBT-driven and interested in building expertise.
Training & clinical support
- Structured onboarding and ramp-up support
- Ongoing CBT-focused consultation and shared tools/frameworks
- Training/mentorship focused on anxiety, ADHD, and insomnia/CBT-I (with OCD specialization opportunities as relevant)
- Clinician-run environment with strong operational support (so your energy goes into clinical work)
Compensation & employment basics
- Flat rate per completed clinical session (W-2)
- Guaranteed pay for your first two months, plus per-session compensation as you build your caseload.
- 401(k) with employee contribution option
- Practice provides operational infrastructure (billing/EHR/admin support)
- Malpractice coverage provided by the practice
Qualifications
- Licensed Therapist (LICSW or LMHC) in Massachusetts
- Strong CBT training and a clear commitment to CBT as a primary modality
- Interest in specializing in anxiety, ADHD, OCD, and/or insomnia
- Reliability: consistent availability, documentation follow-through, ethical practice standards
- Ability to offer at least one evening per week for clients
